Embedded in a solid ZAMAC alloy body, EFP-001 is a 2-wire potentiometer type foot pedal throttle, designed for feeding speed signal to the motor speed control unit of battery powered golf cart and mobility vehicle. For example, when the throttle EFP-001 works with CURTIS 1204M / 1205M / 1221M programmable motor controller, the throttle type parameter of controller should be set as "Type 0, 2-wire potentiometer, 0-5kΩ".
With an internal normal open micro-switch, foot pedal throttle EFP-001 offers control function for electric vehicles. Typically the throttle switch is used for feeding the control signal (B+) to direction changeover (forward / reverse) contactor for making sure that the electric motor will only be powered on after the throttle foot pedal is stepped down. It is an effective design for avoiding the accidental movement of electric motor, when the throttle initial output is not neutral (0Ω).
