Container corner casting are the key element to the structural maneuverability of shipping containers, they allow shipping
containers to not only be able to be locked together both horizontally and vertically.
The corner casting contains TL, TR, BL BR, which are casted with heat (batch) number accordingly.
Notice how the top and bottom corner fittings are not exactly the same. The top corner fitting has an Acorn shape side hole whereas that of the bottom corner fitting is a semicircle. Such shape and dimensions are dictated by ISO 1161.
