It took a while to figure out how to remove the light. The base must be turned all the way counter-clockwise to release the bulb from the housing and the base from the bulb, so that the base and bulb can be removed separately; the cables must be pryed off with a screwdriver. The whole job took about 15 minutes. They work immediately after installation and are very bright.
