What's The Function of Forklift Radiator Water Hose?
1. The Upper Water Hose:The main function of the engine's upper water hose is to transfer coolant and assist in dissipating heat from the engine. When the engine is operating, it generates a large amount of heat, and the upper water hose transports coolant to the engine cylinder block, helping to lower the engine temperature. The upper water hose connects to the cylinder head outlet or thermostat housing to ensure that the coolant circulates effectively to the engine, thereby maintaining the engine's normal operating temperature. Additionally, the design of the upper water hose ensures that even in the absence of water, the water pump can still deliver coolant from the reservoir to the engine.
2. The Lower Water HoseThe function of the engine's lower water hose is to transport coolant from the engine cylinder block back to the radiator. When the engine is operating, the coolant absorbs heat generated by the engine. After circulating through the engine, the coolant becomes hot, and the lower water hose transports this heated coolant from the engine cylinder block back to the radiator for re-cooling. This circulation ensures that coolant in the cooling system continuously flows from the radiator to the engine cylinder block and then returns to the radiator, effectively reducing the engine's operating temperature and protecting it from overheating damage.
