The engine has three kinds of filters: air, oil and fuel. The air conditioning filter in the car is generally called "four filters". They are respectively responsible for the filtration of medium in the engine intake system, lubrication system, fuel system and air conditioning system.
The oil filter is located in the engine lubrication system. Its function is to filter the harmful impurities in the oil from the oil pan, supply clean oil to the crankshaft, connecting rod, camshaft, supercharger, piston ring and other motion pairs, play the role of lubrication, cooling and cleaning, so as to extend the service life of these parts. Although the oil filter is isolated from the outside, the impurities in the surrounding environment are difficult to enter the engine, but there are still impurities in the oil.
General knowledge of vehicle filter
Filter is the first basic line of defense for car maintenance and passenger protection. Engine protection should start from regular replacement of high-quality filter.
Air filter
Filter the air entering the engine combustion chamber and provide clean air to the engine to reduce wear; it is recommended to replace every 5000-15000 km according to the air environment quality.
Oil filter
Filter the engine oil, protect the engine lubrication system, reduce wear and enhance service life; it is recommended to replace every 5000-10000 km according to the oil grade and filter quality of the engine oil used by the car owner; it is recommended to replace the engine oil with the engine oil for 3 months, not more than 6 months.
Gasoline filter
Filter and clean the gasoline, protect the fuel injection nozzle and fuel system, and it is recommended to replace every 10000-40000 km; the gasoline filter is built-in and dish type.
The recommended replacement cycle of the fuel filter should be different according to its own structure, performance and use, which cannot be generalized. The recommended replacement period of most automobile manufacturers for normal maintenance of external filter is 48000 km; the recommended replacement period for conservative maintenance is 192-24000 km. If you are not sure, please refer to the owner's Manual for the correct recommended replacement period.

In addition, when the filter hose is aged or cracked due to mud dust, engine oil and other dirt, it needs to be replaced in time.




Function of oil filter
Oil filter is a device for protecting engine, including primary filter and secondary filter. The oil filter can remove dust, metal particles, carbon deposits, soot particles and other impurities in the oil, with strong filtering ability and small flow resistance, but low filtering efficiency.
In general, all parts of the engine are lubricated by engine oil to achieve normal operation. However, metal debris, dust, oxidized carbon and some water vapor generated during the operation of parts and components will constantly mix into the engine oil, which will reduce the service life of the engine oil for a long time and may affect the normal operation of the engine in serious cases.
Therefore, the function of the oil filter is reflected at this time. In short, the function of the oil filter is to filter most of the impurities in the oil, to keep the oil clean and extend its normal service life. In addition, the oil filter should also have strong filtering ability, small flow resistance and long service life.
In general, the service life of the oil filter is 5000 km, aiming at new oil. If it doesn't reach 5000 km, just change the engine oil and replace the filter together.
The change of the oil filter depends on the cleanliness of the oil.
If there are too many impurities and oil dirt in the engine oil, it shall be attached to the filter paper, and the filter hole shall be blocked, resulting in low oil pressure, so that the engine oil with impurities can enter the engine directly, and the engine oil filter shall be changed at this time.
