Baseplate also called tie plate, sole plate or rail plate is a steel plate which is used to support the rails. Baseplate is used between the sleeper and the rail, so it is also called sleeper plate.
Our baseplate can be rolled, casted or forged.
The baseplate also enables the fastenings to be fixed on rail, so the type of the baseplate is various. The baseplate or tie plate can be fixed with a rail spike, or screw spike, or clip bolt, elastic clip or clamping clip. The baseplate or so called sole plate provides the rail with a flat and smooth surface thus offered the vertical alignment for the rail system. This is why the baseplate or tie plate has the flatness requirement in production.
We produce any type of baseplate suited for various rail sections. Such us UIC54 baseplate, UIC60 baseplate, S49 baseplate to name just a few here.
The most common way for the production of baseplate is casting. The material of the baseplate can be casting iron or casting steel, depending on customer's requirement.
The casting baseplate is used for e clip fastening system or kpo clip fastening system.
We can develop any kind of casting baseplate according to customer's drawing and specifications.
In the e clip fastening system, the baseplate is used with e clip and screw spike.
