An ignition coil is a high-voltage, low-current transformer located in the car's ignition system. Its job is to convert the battery's 12 volts to the 20 or 30 thousand volts required to send a surge of electricity to the spark plugs to initiate fuel combustion. There are a few causes of failure. If your spark plugs are worn out the ignition coils have to increase their output, which can result in failure. What's more, the ignition coil's internal insulation could become damaged, leading to failure of the ECU (control unit) that controls it. In the event of an ignition coil failure, it is advisable to replace the whole set rather than just the one that has failed. Because they have all undergone the same usage, if one fails the rest are likely to follow. It's wise to invest in the best quality ignition coils available - we provide high-quality products at great prices.

The following mounting instructions and tips are intended to help you properly install
your ignition unit.
1- Make sure the engine is cold before removing the ignition units.
2- First of all, disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3- Disconnect the ignition unit connector, then free the cables from the cable guides.
4- Remove the screws that secure the ignition unit. Use a tool designed specifically for
the type of screw to be removed.
5- Remove the ignition unit from the cylinder head using both hands.
Never pull on the low-voltage connector to remove the ignition unit.
6- Clean the cylinder head with a soft cloth. The mounting surface on the cylinder 1 side
(right-hand insert) must be clean and dry to ensure good electrical contact.
7- Position the new ignition unit, inserting the ends of the 4 silicone extensions in the
spark-plug wells. The cast resin part of the ignition unit must face towards the front of
the engine (front of the vehicle). Put back the screws that hold the ignition unit in place,
pressing simultaneously on the two inserts.
8- Reconnect the ignition unit's low-voltage supply connector, then run the supply cable
through the two cable guides.
9- Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
